Hummer LimosSince the first Hummer limos appeared in the 1990's over in the USA, their popularity has reached unparallelled proportions. It's difficult to pinpoint exactly why but they do look mean which is very attractive on big, awesome vehicles. After all the original Hummers were designed as off road vehicles for the US military and gained great publicity from their tours of duty in the Gulf War back in the early 1990's. In the USA there's generally a lot more space and the roads are bigger to manoeuvre a vehicle on so the first Hummer limos produced were the big H1's which were a lot easier to get around in. They were pretty unsuitable in the UK due to their width and very poor turning circle but this problem was largely rectified with the introduction of the smaller but equally impressive H2 Hummer limos. The H2 Hummer limos are a much better "fit" in the UK as they hold around sixteen passengers which is ideal if you're going out in larger groups. People just love the way they look. Their purposeful frontage with crash bars, lots of chrome and lights and huge off road wheels with nobbly tyres gives them an exremely menacing, powerful and aggressive image which makes them look very cool. When you think about some of the pretty funky interiors with fibre optical and laser lighting, mirrored ceilings and bars, DVD flat screens and monster sound systems you can see why Hummer limos are a force to be reckoned with. Black Hummer limos are very macho which is why they're so popular with the boys and in great demand on stag nights, corporate events, nightclubbing, race days and school prom hire. The pink Hummer limos go down very well with the girls, of course, and cover events such as hen nights, pamper days, nightclubbing, birthdays and school prom hire again. Then there are the white Hummer limos which are the most popular colour for weddings and civil ceremonies. White is also a very neutral colour and looks stunning with any colour of ribbons and bows, or alternative type of decoration. The H2 Hummer limos are certainly not a cheap option, though. This is fair enough as they cost in excess of £100,000 to buy new and are expensive to run, returning less than ten miles to the gallon. So you need to make sure you fill them up to share the limo hire cost between as many people as possible. In fact, if you think your limo hire through carefully and thoroughly you can have the night of all nights and still get great value in one of the big Hummer limos. If there are only eight of you don't fear because the coachbuilders in the USA are now stretching the smallest H3 Hummers which can carry up to eight passengers. These H3 Hummer limos are a great solution for the smaller groups but are still very much Hummers. At first glance you could easily be mistaken for thinking the new H3 Hummer limos were H2 Hummer limos so that's really good news for the smaller groups who thought they might miss out on the experience. The coachbuilders have also been a lot more adventurous with the H3 Hummer limos than they were with the H2 Hummer limos which were mainly built in black or white. So now you'll now see some exciting new colours on the H3 Hummer limos such as silver, metallic blue, metallic orange, metallic dusty pink, even Barbie pink and bright red which should really brighten our roads up and attract a lot of attention. You won't see any less chrome or less nobbly tyres on the H3's, though, because they're still very much Hummer limos. All in all then, you can see how popular both the H2 and H3 Hummer limos are amongst boys and girls, men and women. So if you really want to be cruising round one of our great cities in one of these big Hummer limos, don't leave it too late or you'll be sorry. |
