Cheap Limo HireCheap limo hire may not always be the best option...When people want to hire a limo they often have the idea that they are going to be in for hundreds of pounds so the first thing they do is search for cheap limo hire. This can often lead them down the route of finding companies who promote cheap limo hire in a big way because they either give them the bare essentials such as a “no frills” service in an ageing limo, or they may be unlicensed and employ cheap labour, not to mention other cost cutting measures. Hiring a limo is all about special occasions such as birthday limos, wedding limos, prom limos, stag and hen night limos, honeymoon travel, theatre nights and so on, so it’s important to the person organizing everything to get it right if they want to avoid disappointment on the night. That is why going straight for cheap limo hire may not always be the best strategy, but rather looking to get good value for money. That way everybody’s happy. Best ways to get value for money limo hire...First and foremost talk to your chosen operator. Tell him your story and ask him for a few suggestions as to how you can get value for money. If he’s worth his salt he’ll he’ll be full of ideas. Here are a few pointers towards getting good value: Always try to fill your limo up. For example £320 for four people works out at £40 each; take eight and that’s just £40 each. If everyone chips in that’s great, but even if you’re paying for the whole thing at least you know you’ve treated eight people to the limo instead of four. Another good tip is to think further afield. Even if you have a full limo for the evening you can get even better value by travelling, perhaps, 30 or 40 miles into the city or another city which doesn’t cost much more than staying on your own patch. That way you can incorporate the cost of transporting eight people door to door into the city and back within the cost of your limo hire. If you do stay locally you could even organize a bigger party, say sixteen, and have two runs to your venue and back, dividing the cost of the limo hire by sixteen. Now that really would be cheap limo hire ! Also you can try working with your limo company. Ask them if they already have a booking which you can work around, such as starting earlier or finishing later than planned. That way they may be able to do you a deal whereby you are effectively helping each other out. They get the extra business at a time when they can fit you in, you get a discount because you’re fitting in with them which is a very good way to seek out a genuinely cheap limo hire. If it must be a really cheap limo hire due to a very tight budget you could always consider a one way hire, either at the beginning or end of the evening. This can often work well with kids where they’re very happy to have, say, an hour’s cruise before being dropped off to a restaurant, or back to a party. Then at the end they can be collected by their parents. Obviously this can be a little more complicated with adults as there is usually a return journey to be considered. Finally, you will often find that limo companies will be able to offer you an off peak price or a special deal if you hire midweek as weekends are nearly always busy. These are just some of the ways you can secure a cheap limo hire or, as we prefer to call it, a good value limo hire where you can still get a fantastic limo from a quality operator without necessarily breaking the bank ! |
